The Tuchkov Bridge, a 600-foot Liberian flagged tanker, is anchored in the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal near Reedy Point Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, after it ran aground with 21 people aboard Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, near the St. George Bridge 30 miles south of Philadelphia. Members of the Coast Guard, Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control and the New Jersey State Police responded to the grounding. Good Samaritans rescue 2 near Ocean City, Md. (155.31 KB)
This 41-foot boat sank Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, 22 miles east of Ocean City, Md., with two people aboard. Good Samaritans aboard the boat Muffdiver arrived on scene and rescued the two people, who were aboard a life raft, and transported them to Ocean City.
