Coast Guard crews repair navagational aids

KATY, Texas -- Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Stephen Blowe prepares a bouy for towing in Sabine Pass, Texas, Tuesday, Sep. 16, 2008.  The bouy is one of 180 aids to navagation damaged or dragged off station by Hurricane Ike. Aids to navagation serve the same function as road signs on our highways. Crewmembers from the Aids to Navigation Team (ATON) in Mobile, Ala., are working in Port Arthur, Texas, Sabine Pass and Lake Charles, La., as part of the massive response effort to restore the Gulf Coast ports and waterways.
